Good numbers of Terns feeding off the sea wall at Musselburgh this am. Single Roseate, at least 2 Arctic, plenty of Common & Sandwich. 10+ Little Gulls & at least 2 Arctic Skua's harassing the terns. Stejneger's still distant from 1st bench @birdinglothian
12 Jun. Musselburgh. A Whooper Swan was on the river this morning. Also a few Common Terns off the seawall and a large Common Scoter flock way offshore (1 Velvet!) @birdinglothian
Against all the odds, the female Mute Swan at Musselburgh boating pond (aka Levenhall Links) has one cygnet ๐ค Recently, the male was killed and most of the eggs destroyed ๐ก
