This afternoon at Urugwiro Village, President Kagame received a bipartisan United States Congressional Delegation led by Representative Brett Guthrie @RepGuthrie, Chairman of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce.
Their discussions focused on Rwanda’s transformation journey, as well as ways to deepen bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including health, energy, and investment.

This afternoon at the Gabiro Combat Training Center, President Kagame is meeting with the 16th cohort of Itorero Indangamirwa, the civic and national values training program for Rwandan youth, organized by the Ministry of National Unity and Civic Engagement. This year’s program has close to 800 participating youth between the ages of 18-23 including Rwandans living abroad, and students from across high schools and higher learning institutions in Rwanda. This afternoon at Intare Arena, President Kagame, Chairman of @rpfinkotanyi, met with Senior Cadres of the RPF for discussions on the Party’s history and its role in Rwanda’s transformation. The meeting emphasized the importance of members upholding the Party’s values, including people-centered governance and accountability, to advance the Party’s mission of Rwanda’s continued development.
President Kagame today received General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, Chief of Defence Forces of the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF). Their discussions focused on the strong bilateral cooperation between Rwanda and Uganda, as well as regional peace, security, and stability.

President Kagame is in Geneva where will deliver a keynote address at the opening of the @AIforGood Global Summit 2026, and officially launch the AI for Good Global Commission, along with co-chair Marc @Benioff, CEO and Co-Founder of Salesforce, vice-chair Doreen Bogdan-Martin, @ITUSecGen, President @HallaTomas of Iceland and President @AlarKaris of Estonia. The Summit, co-convened by @ITU and Switzerland, is being held under the theme, “Unlocking AI’s potential to serve humanity.”
This afternoon at Urugwiro Village, President Kagame received Daniel Libeskind, Founder and Principal Architect of Studio Libeskind; Nina Libeskind, Co-founder of Studio Libeskind; Stefan Blach, Partner at Studio Libeskind; and Holm Keller, Chairman of the kENUP Foundation. They discussed plans for the new National Genocide Monument at the current Kigali Genocide Memorial, envisioned as a powerful space for remembrance, education and reflection through cutting-edge technology and a deeply immersive, personal experience.
President Kagame also met with a Mastercard Foundation delegation led by Zein Abdalla, Chairman of the Board, accompanied by former President of Liberia, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, and other Board and leadership members. They discussed the Foundation’s partnership with Rwanda and ways to further expand opportunities for young people through skills development, entrepreneurship, job creation, and innovation.
