@harshrajdan@unusual_whales This chart is genuine and comes from the 1875 book "Benner's Prophecies of Future Ups and Downs in Prices." but importantly it predicts the prices of "Pig-Iron, Hogs, Corn, and Provisions.". Not the stock market. It was, very influential in the development of technical analysis.
@Kog__AI The speed is really impressive but calling it a coding model is disingenuous at best. I tried a few, increasingly simple tasks and it could not even zero-shot a vba bubble sort.
Great tool for the right use case, though.
@rohanpaul_ai and then rely on future challenges to resolve contradictions.
While not as permissive as the Australian was for a while, that famously allowed a patent for the wheel, the barriers are definitely lower and so are the costs making direct comparison less than instructive.
@rohanpaul_ai This oversimplified view completely glosses over the structural differences of the patent systems themselves. Filing a patent in the US costs approximately 10X more and US patent examination focuses more on novelty whereas Chinese patents are granted more readily.
@deicticai@allenanalysis Exactly right. Permissions scoped for the task, time limited, sandbox enforced. That's how we build our systems for real enterprise use.
@k1rallik And the truth is we live in a postcode world. The code is nothing. The attention and the trust is what counts. Fork it all you want, you're not replacing them. But it's very educational 🙂
@dr_cintas The responsibility to validate and sign off on work is the gating factor we don't talk about enough.
The bottleneck is the human in the loop. We need to read, use and understand all that work. You can't give up your agency, because you still carry the liability.
@rohanpaul_ai I think "vibing" goes away, replaced by more useful processes like voice-to-code. Discussions with code generators, rather than silly attempts by AI to guess intent. Solutions like Codev (https://t.co/Rscq4pfjeB) will necessarily correct the flaws in vibe coding.
@Momofhoods24@ABC That would be great if American kids were willing to actually get the required education.
4-7% of STEM bachelor's degrees were awarded to foreign students
49% of STEM Master's degrees
57% of STEM Doctoral degrees
This is 2019 NSF data.
@atrupar "we contest elections at the ballot box, not in court...."
Except for the armies of lawyers and "monitors" filing endless, baseless, pointless lawsuits anywhere the result doesn't suit you. Tell me again where you contest elections.

Hey @convokeai - May I please get early beta access to your super cool AI Scheduling tool? https://t.co/JdQNpi5F32 #scheduling#calendars#ai#BetaAccess via @convokeai
@TomislavSimich@gtconway3d Mediocrity is always the choice of the elites that stand behind the power and hope to bend it to their own ends. But it seldom ends well. (E.g. Russia)
Left the house today to go to dad's funeral to discover the rental SUV was stolen overnight.
@PeelPolice and @Avis were both amazing and we made it to the funeral in time with a replacement vehicle. Thank you to all the people who I met and didn't meet who made that happen.
@howardlindzon@JeremyJBH Been trying since 2018. Regulation makes it complex. Securities are ultimately centralized by law so compliant solutions are philosophically "anti crypto".
Love to discuss.
@paulsanders87 Hockey. Goalie. Completely all consuming. An hour an a half of thinking about nothing except a 6 oz rubber disc. The occasional bruise is a great trade off.
Active team sports that require ongoing attention (i.e. not baseball or bowling)
@nateliason This is basically The Ferber Method. Check out the book:
