Really happy and very excited to trumpet our latest research on guppy colour polymorphism! We phenotyped and genotyped 4 ‘Iso-Y lines’, and found consistent genetic variance associated with a large haplotype on LG1. Suggests Y-autosome epistasis ♂️🧬🪢 https://t.co/TovUC5hpyh
This is exciting!! My first 1st author paper available as pre-print now! We looked into rapid genomic adaptation in experimental pops of guppies and found convergent evolution after just 8-10 generations 🐠🧬
Hey fellow PopGroupers!
If you're interested in rapid genomic adaptation, come see my talk about our work on experimental guppy populations today! I can be found in session 1 at 14:30.

Yessss! Grab it while you can! Interested in fish evolution? There’s a PhD position available in our guppy lab. I’ve had a fantastic 4 years doing mine in this group, so would recommend!
So there's a lot more detail in the preprint obviously so looking forward to hearing what people think. All that's left is thank all those involved: @josephine_paris, @mvdz28, Paul Parsons (not on twitter, somewhere in the North), @PlantEvolution and @BonnieFraser8
