@kathpooler @SkamLicely @SBLitAgent As I said in my first comment, he’s a rheumatologist, so all of his patients have pre-existing autoimmune disorders which require meds that suppress the immune system. The numbers for the general public are much lower.

@kathpooler @SBLitAgent These numbers are high, compared to the CDC estimates because he’s a rheumatologist. ALL his patients have a serious autoimmune disorder that makes us vulnerable.

@kathpooler @SBLitAgent Yes. According to my doctor, roughly 20% of his unvaxed COVID patients develop long COVID. For his vaxed patients, it’s only about 8%.

@phantomdiver Yes, sorta kinda. I was taught that the shift was a safety measure. It means that kids going to school aren’t walking or waiting for the bus in darkness.

@redcrew Desktop, yes, and unplug it. Neighbor’s house was hit by lightning a few years ago and all their plugged in electronics fried. Laptop, no, since that can run for several hours on battery.

@BoraxMr @ellembee Dealt w/the company that supplied my husband’s hospital bed. Each end of the cable has either 6 holes/4 prongs or 6 prongs/4 holes. Tried to explain which was broken using “standard” terminology. Finally lost it and screamed “Just replace BOTH the damned intersex thingies!”
