I had my first observation today! I was so nervous because it was a new group of kids and there were about 30 kids in the room. But the clinical supervisor said I did a good job! #EDU310

Last week I spontaneously lead the second step program that the school has implemented. Social emotional learning is just as fun as content to teach. #EDU310

Taking students on a field trip is such a fun experience. You can definitely learn a little more about the students and form a bond on these trips. #EDU310

@joshua_mclinn Isn't it interesting that we're learning along with the students at this phase? I know we're all refreshing our vocabulary and learning new tricks of how to teach specific things like multiplication. It's such a huge learning process. #EDU310

It is always interesting/inconvenient when technology doesn't cooperate during part of a lesson. But you just have to go with the flow and try to fix it, talk through it, and move on. #EDU310

Powerpoint presentations can be very useful in the classroom, but how they are used makes a difference. Powerpoints should be interactive and guide discussion, not be there to just copy off of. #EDU310

Although it is a sad reality, ALICE training is super important to talk about in the classroom. It is important that students know what to do if a situation were to ever come up so we're not just sitting ducks. #EDU310
