🏆 Referee announced for 2026 #SuperCup!
We're pleased to share that Somali referee Omar Artan will officiate the highly anticipated match between PSG and Aston Villa in Salzburg.
@theashrb Massive credit to us Arsenal fans for turning out in such numbers but when today is well and done, logic means a review will probably be done to understand how best to cope with and manage an Arsenal parade across Islington that spills into neighbouring boroughs.
@theashrb Think the core point isn’t necessarily TfL but the sheer numbers today. Many of the smaller stations, who would be open fine/have some restricted access on a match day, couldn't handle normal Sunday commuters mixed in with Arsenal parade numbers.
We welcome this move by @TfL following their detailed safety review, as it acknowledges the risks that we know e-bike batteries can pose.

@lmartods It would make a very long list of things which would need to happen to run a later (unplanned) service plus all the associated costs of cancelling maintenance booked in days/weeks/months ago. Especially as Sunday is the longest engineering hours day of the week.

@lmartods@jasebyjason Says more about the lack of capital project funding that a developed plan for a tube extension is now spoken about as an express bus service
Digital, automated signalling slowly taking over the railways. Safer, quicker & increasing capacity without having to build new track. On the Tube, the H&C and Circle lines are now fully digised. You can sometimes see the next trains headlights on platforms in the peak.
Always find the headways down in the Thameslink core super impressive. You can almost see your train leave and the one behind arrive before you even leave the platform. 💨
@theashrb £500m to revamp life expired/failing assets due to a lack of funds for new trains. To think Central/Bakerloo lines will now have to wait years for Victoria line frequency, air con and new trains/signalling.
A 23-year-old man who seriously assaulted a member of TfL staff, leaving them with a fractured skull and bleed on the brain, has been jailed for three and a half years.
