@biggsyyyyyyyyy She may know that inevitable future is bound to be unhappy since she will live her life out as a sinner, but she can try and make the better of things as much as possible before their eventual demise.
@19hontze I don't think that Dimmesdale, nor Hester would have been able to be truly happy, had he not confessed. Pearl would have not been able to let that go and she would have never truly trusted him, so their family would not have been complete in a sense. #FlynnSL
@JawntCoyle I feel that she knows that he is hiding something so she is unable to completely trust him. It's also kind of interesting how she views his actions as strange when as a child she would literally just shriek without warning and throw rocks at the other children. #FlynnSL
@19lynchmary I just feel bad for Pearl because all she was asking for was for him to confess. If he does that she'll actually acknowledge that he is her true father. #FlynnSL
Ch 24: Why does Hester always choose to stay in New England? Maybe she feels an attachment to where her family was started and she doesn't want to lose that connection since she has already lost her baby daddy. #flynnsl
Ch 24: The relationship between Dimmesdale and Chilly could be described as parasitic where Dimmesdale is the host and Chilly is the parasite. Once the host dies off, the parasite will be unable to complete its life-cycle, leading to its eventual termination. #flynnsl
Ch 23: Knowing that Dimmesdale left on a good note with Pearl before he died is really heart warming. I'm glad that he died with a good conscience. #flynnsl
Ch 22: What gives Dimmesdale these sudden bursts of energy? He acting like a completely different person, to the point where Hester and Pearl don't even recognize him. #flynnsl
Ch 21: I feel that Pearl's actions towards Dimmesdale are perfectly reasonable because he has yet to publicly repent for his sins. This is not fair to Pearl and Hester because he won't face the backlash that they both had to suffer from. #flynnsl
Ch 20: Everything seemed to be going fine until Chilly was brought back into the picture...now Dimmesdale is being accused of selling his soul... #flynnsl
Ch 20: It's nice to see how the formerly weak, pitiful Dimmesdale leaves the forest with a new sense of purpose and energy. His thinking has been transformed by his will and that of Hester. #flynnsl
Ch 19: Pearl seems to be one with the nature in the wilderness as her image is reflected perfectly in the brook, which separates her from Hester and the minister. #flynnsl
Ch 19: I would assume that Pearl's reaction to Hester and Dimmesdale foreshadows an unhappy ending. It's not gonna be easy trying to have a family if she's not willing to cooperate. #flynnsl
@danielleizq I hope their happiness continues to grow, but knowing Hawthorne's previous writings, something bad is bound to happen in the very near future... #FlynnSL
@19barretta I believe that he should confess the truth. His guilt has already harmed him enough emotionally and physically. If he leaves town without confessing his guilt will only affect him more. #FlynnSL
