BREAKING: In stunning moment, Botham Jean's brother embraces Amber Guyger after her sentencing for his brother's murder.

"I don't even want you to go to jail. I want the best for you, because I know that's exactly what Botham would want." https://t.co/sWaPUtS0kj

@CoachKurtHines That being said if you’re called to climb the mountain and you avoid the mountain, then yes that’s not good either. Walk in faith and climb the mountain (or the valley) trusting FULLY on the lord and not relying on anything else

[Court Captain @my__Captain]

@CoachKurtHines Coach I love you but this isn’t a biblical take. Scripture doesn’t present white knuckling or just trying harder as the response to problems.

And praying for God to remove a mountain is exactly what is littered through the psalms.

[NFL @NFL]

.@DrewLock23 and @JalenMilroe's reaction to the game-winning INT is incredible

@Bullfreecooking @PrestonSprinkle @DrTomSchreiner @TGC Have you read the book?

I can hear Bill saying: “Conference of Champions. What a game. What a life. I’m sleeping in the desert. What’s your name again?”

[Matt Hasselbeck @Hasselbeck]

Darrell Jackson disagrees with that call.

[Court Captain @my__Captain]

@DeanWar72224151 @PrestonSprinkle Dean you are bearing false witness

[Timothy Keller (1950-2023) @timkellernyc]

If a person has grasped grace they do justice. If they don't, they say they are grateful for God's grace, but in the heart they are far from him. Not caring for the poor reveals that at best one doesn't understand grace and at worst you may not have encountered Gods saving mercy.

[Joe Veyera @JoeVeyera]

The Seattle Mariners are in first place at the All-Star break!

Please don't ask how they got there or how it's going, or really anything about them at all.

[Court Captain @my__Captain]

@Jacobionite @KassTheBomb @PrestonSprinkle Sure that is true. Fwiw I wasn’t the one who brought that term up on this thread. As far as I can see based on Augustine’s own criteria, not even WWII qualifies for his JWT.

It sounds like you’ve been familiar with Preston. Did you ever read his book “Fight”?

[Court Captain @my__Captain]

@Jacobionite @KassTheBomb @PrestonSprinkle Haha dude it’s pretty disingenuous to say I’m not asking honestly when you don’t even know me.

Do you think the use of an atomic bomb fits in JWT?

[Court Captain @my__Captain]

@HankK83205 @Jacobionite @PrestonSprinkle Does being worthy of respect as an image bearer of God and a follower of Jesus go away when he has this different opinion than you?

[Court Captain @my__Captain]

@Jacobionite @KassTheBomb @PrestonSprinkle Do you actually know what characterizes a just war? Or are you just using the phrase just war? Honest question.
