@trevortombe@TheHubCanada Maybe I’m dumb but you’re showing us how much worse growth actually was vs the projections, and then saying we’re growing again based on the new projections. The same kind of projections we just miserably failed to meet. Why would we expect to be hitting these new projections???
@jengerson Please surrender! Canada is a vassal state to the US. The first thing each PM does when elected should be to go down south a kiss the presidents ring. I do not care about pride in this nation or score keeping. The only goal should be the well being of our citizens given reality
@ryanburge Looking at this I have to ask how is this conversation always about what’s going on with young men? Young men are pretty much in line with everyone else. It’s young women who have totally left the mainstream.
@addammy1 This is a standard Easter greeting. Politicians send greetings on holidays to communities that celebrate them. Especially when the politician counts themselves as a member of that community. This is not controversial. Mark Carny frequently sends celebratory messages to Muslim
@gerrycanuc13057@U1TR4F0RCE@sirenblep Another top choice. We are after all “Americans” and it would do us well to know the dominant language by native speakers of this continent.
@jaysonyork Generally yes—but I would add that short-term missions can deeply shape those who go, especially youth, sparking lifelong commitment to missions. But we often miss this by focusing only on the “receiving” side instead of forming the senders.
@CircleBackPat@SonnyBunch I have not seen but having read the book, which I liked, I wondered about the fact that’s its ending seems to go on and on, and how they would do that on screen.
@bendreyfuss God the Father and the Spirit are not sexed beings. Even if gender is distinguished from sex, Scripture consistently presents God with masculine language. “Non-binary” describes a sexed creature whose gender expression rejects the binary—something that does not apply to God.
@Christ_like_ish @PastorTrey05 That assumes masculinity and femininity are just trait clusters.
In Scripture they’re sexed realities of embodied creatures.
God perfectly possesses all virtues—but He isn’t sexed.
So “non-binary” still doesn’t apply.
@SeanTrende His theological departure is so extreme it would make him far more hated in evangelical circles than if he’d merely been another gay Democrat
@JacobtheDozer @PrestonSprinkle@DrTomSchreiner@TGC Priscilla isn’t confounding unless you redefine the claim. The argument isn’t “women can never teach.” It’s about authoritative teaching in the gathered church (1 Tim 2). Acts 18 describes private instruction, not the pastoral office.
@Jondinger@MarkAntiBabylon@PrestonSprinkle@DrTomSchreiner@TGC And maybe PS will finally deliver the airtight biblical case for egalitarianism on a pop level—and show why the church got it wrong for 2,000 years. I’ll see when my copy arrives and reframe my trajectory accordingly.
