Boşuna dememişler müzik evrenseldir diye… 😌 🎶
İyilik, her yerde iyilik. Bir damla kan, dünyanın her yerinde aynı umudu taşıyor. 🌍❤️
Honoured to join the 12th MENA Regional Conference in Beirut. Proud to stand with our Red Cross and Red Crescent family in dialogue, partnership and shared humanitarian purpose.

Different landscapes. Different crises. The same human heart.
Across the world, our staff and volunteers and the people they serve are neighbors, friends, colleagues, family members.
This is what unites us. This is who we are, united in humanity. #8May
Today is World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day.
Across the world, volunteers and staff from the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement show up every day for people in crisis, responding in their own communities, helping neighbours, supporting families, and standing on the frontlines of emergencies that affect them too.

Our President, Prof. Dr. Fatma Meriç Yılmaz, took part in the panel titled “Access Denied: Breaking Artificial Barriers in Humanitarian Action” held within the scope of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Antalya under the auspices of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the panel, our President, Prof. Dr. Fatma Meriç Yılmaz, together with Carl Skau from the United Nations World Food Programme, IFRC Secretary General Jagan Chapagain, and Ramiz Alakbarov from the United Nations, emphasized that safeguarding humanitarian access is not only an operational necessity, but also a fundamental responsibility in defense of human dignity and the right to life.
In the session moderated by our Director General of International Affairs and Migration Services, Alper Küçük, participants reflected on the severe consequences of obstructed access to aid in today’s crises and underlined the shared responsibility to strengthen a more principled, safe, and unimpeded approach to humanitarian action.
“Strategic Roundtable on Corporate Power for Early Action & Real Impact” organized in cooperation with the Turkish Red Crescent and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), was held in Istanbul.
At the meeting, attended by our President Fatma Meriç Yılmaz and IFRC Secretary General Jagan Chapagain, the Disaster Response Emergency Fund (DREF) mechanism was introduced to private sector representatives, and opportunities for collaboration to strengthen rapid disaster response and forecast-based early action capacity were discussed.
As part of the programme, which brought together public institutions, private sector representatives, and humanitarian actors, the DREF model, field applications, and opportunities for inter-stakeholder cooperation were reviewed.
The meeting, which was also attended by our Director General for International Affairs and Migration Services, Alper Küçük, provided an important platform for discussing the integration of private sector contributions in financing, technology, and logistics into humanitarian operations.
We are deeply concerned by reports of an @Iranian_RCS ambulance hit while responding to an emergency.
The Red Crescent emblem represents neutrality and life-saving assistance.
Respect for this emblem is essential so emergency teams can safely reach people in need.
Any attack on health workers, ambulances, or medical facilities is unacceptable. We reiterate our call for respect for our emblems and the humanitarian services they represent.
