@lidl_ireland@originaltweritt Same as that. What’s the point in going through the hassle and loyalty of presenting your app at every shop only to have points wiped with every update
@IrishTimes So what he said basically is we have spent billions on climate policies and the world got warmer but if we all cycle it will cool down again ffs. I can not wait for the elections to come around.
TRULY SAVAGE ASSAULTS CARRIED OUT BY TWO MEN WHO ONLY ARRIVED IN IRELAND (& ONE HAD A PREVIOUS CONVICTION FOR ATTEMPTED MURDER)
Two men that had only been in Ireland a few days committed two separate shocking home assaults on a man in his 60's and a woman (age unspecified).
The assaults also resulted in a 17 year old dog being euthanised due to a skull fracture caused by one of the men.
One of the men had several serious previous convictions, including a condition for attempted murder.
So much for background checks and Europol @LeoVaradkar?
The convictions handed down in the past few days have not been covered by the mainstream national publications or Irish TV channels.
The two men beat the man and threatened him at knife point, the day after they’d attacked the woman in her home in Louth.
Shortly before 10.30pm on May 15th 2022, the pair entered the sitting room of a woman living on Bachelors Walk Dundalk, wearing medical face masks.
Munteanu was holding ‘a big knife’ and the younger man had a baton which she was hit over the head with and the victim told Gardai she couldn’t remember if the older man had hit her with a baton or a fist and when she told him she had children to stop him from hurting her he replied “I don’t care”.
The day after the Dundalk aggravated burglary, the pair entered the home of the man in his 60's. The man sustained a blow to the side of his head before the pair jumped on his back and he was beaten on the face and Munteanu stuffed cotton wool into his mouth, causing him difficulty in breathing.
He said the pair kept hitting him and his hands were tied behind his back, and his legs were tied with a pair of tights. The victim’s 17 year old Jack Russell, who was a bit deaf, came running and the next thing he heard was him being kicked in the kitchen and "going silent".
The man was then picked up and put on a bed, where one of the accused kept demanding money and made a stabbing gesture with a knife.
The court heard the man has not returned to his home since the incident and is now in assisted living accommodation where his wife is his carer.
Judge Dara Hayes sentenced both men to consecutive sentences. Munteanu was jailed for 15 years and Mihai was sentenced to 12 and a half years with the final 12 months suspended, on him entering a bond to be of good behaviour post release and placing himself under the supervision of the Probation Service for 18 months, and engaging with a restorative justice programme.
What is the corrupt Irish government up to now?
The Romanian national who was arrested on Wednesday in connection with the discovery of 14 people hidden within a refrigerated shipping container at Rosslare, was confirmed almost 24 hours after his arrest, by a garda source to be released without charge while a file is being prepared for the DPP.
Why would An Garda Siochana release without charge a Human Trafficker? Why send a file to the DPP that in all likelihood will take months, if not years, to result in charges being brought, when trafficking is such a serious issue?
Remember that they have no intention of pursuing 8 of the 14 people who escaped from their detention, having been discovered in that container in Rosslare; people who clearly have no interest in being saved from their alleged traffickers, since they fled the Irish authorities at the first opportunity.
Every one of them who is complicit in this charade, while they try to destroy our country, will reach a Day of Reckoning.

The hypocrisy of Eamon (don’t drive a car or use planes) Ryan greeting Chinese Premier Li Qiang with smiles and groveling hand shakes when he gets off the biggest plane with the largest vehicle cavalcade from the country with the most pollution. You couldn’t make it up.
