Grief doesn’t follow a tidy timeline. It can feel heavy one day, lighter the next, then suddenly sharp again months or years later. That’s natural, and it’s why ongoing support matters.
If someone you care about is grieving, you don’t need perfect words. What helps most is staying connected, checking in gently, and offering small, practical things that make their days easier. Give them space to share memories and heartache, and let them set the pace 💛

Some important news from me: I'm stepping down as Leader of the Australian Greens. I've been managing kidney disease for some time but recently it’s taken a downturn. My prognosis is good, but doctors are clear that recovery needs a slower pace than leading a party allows.
It is with incredible sadness that we honour Constable Mia Lay, who tragically died in the line of duty at Redfern this morning.
We extend our deepest condolences to Constable Lay’s family, loved ones, colleagues and friends.
This is a solemn day for the NSW Police Force and we stand united.
Healing and growth rarely happen in isolation. They happen in connection, in reflection, and in moments where someone helps you see your situation from a slightly different perspective.

Things my mental illness sometimes stops me doing..
• picking up the phone
• leaving the house
• eating healthy
• exercising
• laughing
• doing my hair or makeup
• getting dressed
Sometimes being able to do one of these things is a victory.
Retweet if you understand
When someone appears indifferent after trauma, don’t be deceived into thinking they don’t care.
Sometimes the nervous system has simply been overwhelmed.
What looks like indifference may actually be emotional shutdown — a trauma response when the mind and body reach their limit.
If you live with ADHD, BPD, C-PTSD, ASD, anxiety, or trauma recovery
I want to follow you.
I want to connect with you.
I want us to remind each other: we are not alone in this.
Drop a hi 👋 or 🩵 in the replies if you relate.
Let’s build community, and let’s stop trying to cope in silence.
If an outsider wants to spot who’s really the abuser in a narcissistic family system, the trick is to watch patterns, not just isolated incidents.
Narcissistic families run on image management, so the truth is usually the opposite of what they present. Here are some key clues: 🧵👇
Heartbreaking to see the last moments of Saalumarada #Timmakka, who passed away yesterday at the age of 114.
She gave life to thousands of trees and inspired millions with her kindness. Her legacy will live on in every tree she planted !!
Om Shanti 🙏
An underappreciated CPTSD recovery hack is to create. Create anything. Art, music, food. It doesn't have to be objectively "good," or objectively anything-- just create. Make. Generate. Creativity oils every aspect of our recovery work. It literally reanimates our brain & heart.
