New Anthropic research: Natural Language Autoencoders.
Models like Claude talk in words but think in numbers. The numbers—called activations—encode Claude’s thoughts, but not in a language we can read.
Here, we train Claude to translate its activations into human-readable text.

Introducing Claude Design by Anthropic Labs: make prototypes, slides, and one-pagers by talking to Claude.
Powered by Claude Opus 4.7, our most capable vision model. Available in research preview on the Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans, rolling out throughout the day.
@_GPaolo@Cognizant This is interesting. Any dominant behavior patterns? Is group survival and collaboration the normalized behavior in the biggest groups, or are other behaviors more common?
@IntuitMachine I hade this idea for a while. That conscious experience is gap between reality and picture of it in mind. Error correction mechanism that always seeking and never reaches.
@VraserX Even if current models exhibit similar functions, we still don’t know whether it’s really there or not.
Every type of intelligence is a unique computational solution to the problem of life as order. And that’s where we can begin to see this value.
…
@VraserX And honestly, AI still doesn’t do most things better than humans. It just does them its own way - consuming a lot of energy and requiring intent from us. Eventually machines may become better, but if we’re right about the possibility of emergent intention….
What is it have with moralists? Anti-AI sentiment exists just because people are scared. Everyone says AI will take jobs, instead of explaining that people need to learn how to work with it and amplify their lives overall.
On the other hand, people who talk about full replacement and universal basic income never explain where it should come from.
Most are accessible after finishing the game if you played well - just load a save before the point of no return. Some require special conditions, though. I did three playthroughs and thoroughly enjoyed it; I basically couldn't stop. This game is a fucking masterpiece everyone should play. It makes you more human through Night City's weird lens.
@Ruuin3d@Koolkid692VEVO@149wewino@ITSALOX_ Okay, here's the thing. There are 7 endings, but sequences vary more. Like, you can have a secret ending mission, but eventually it comes to either being a legend or giving your body to Johnny.
Run #10: The network's internal structure is reproduced every run. This is behavior it learns each time. I may need to add new attractors. Visualization during runs is also needed. #ML#AI#DeepLearning#MachineLearning
sparknet.explorer - new net focused on curiosity and homeostatic survival. Visualization shows how much the spark is trying to explore. Running experiments, I hit 3 corners of our exploration space. Now aiming to find other behaviors along the way. I know it reflects some papers, but deriving it through experiment is key to understanding. #ML #AI #RL
