I expressed my concern about rampant electoral malpractices in AP, especially in electoral roll mismanagement. Despite appeals and letters to ECI, issues persist. Requested the Hon. Minister to urgently deploy non-local Electoral Roll Observers from GOI to monitor, rectify errors, remove deceased voters, and stop the deletion of TDP supporters' votes. With elections approaching, timely action is crucial for fair polls to ensure a better future for the languishing state of affairs.

I wholeheartedly support the Chief Election Commissioners Bill 2023, and appreciate the revamped Search Committee which will be led by the Hon. Law Minister. This is a step in the right direction.

Clause 15A's introduction, shielding CECs from legal proceedings during tenure, is commendable for fostering fearlessness in discharging their duties.

I have gone on to propose considering a Supreme Court Judge as an Election Commissioner, aligning with the quasi-judicial nature of the post. This will definitely boost the institution's robustness.
