Today marks a very important day for me personally. I have finally managed to introduce Enigma-breaking, as developed by Marian Rejewski, into the official curriculum of the cryptanalysis course at @UAM_Poznan . I blended my notes and ideas with the power of AI to deliver a high-quality learning experience in which students can follow every step of the method.

The second part of the session will be dedicated to the extension of Rejewski’s idea: the Turing–Welchman bombe. We break Enigma at will! Next week: Zygalski sheets to complete the cycle.

I’m truly happy that cryptology in Poznań is finally being taught again as it was back in the 1930s! But now we end with post-quantum ultra-modern cryptography. Such a long journey.
