Here’s how you can contribute at a hackathon as a PR/Comms/Community/Marketing person:

In one of the talks, @amandacassatt said a line that I still remember:
“The tech bros were really good with tech but didn't know how to craft the story and share it with the world.”

I realized this during the recent Warpspeed hackathon. (we won the runner up prize from @base)

> Ideate! You're likely the one who'll come up with the idea, so focus on that. Use your experience as a regular user to solve a problem people like you face. For me, it was wanting to stay active on Farcaster.

> Explain the user flow. The devs know how to code BUT what to code, which button should appear when, and how exactly the flow should feel? That’s the challenge. You'll have to explain it multiple times and ensure it stays smooth for the user.

> Help with coding. “Oh, I don’t know how to code” is so 2019. Use AI tools to code parts of the project.
@n1shank took care of backend, @akshmnd developed the bot interface, and I used @Replit to create our website & frontend.

> Pitching to judges. Super important. You have to make them feel why it’s needed and why the problem matters. Find a way to showcase your product to key people, seek feedback, and improve.

> And lastly, keeping devs in check! I’m sorry to all the DevRels whose work I might have once underestimated.

Pro Tip: Record small clips, combine them later for a fun video content.
