Hey #Nashville people - interested in getting off this hellsite to a better place? Check out https://t.co/9oJNfmsamM - a mastodon instance just for Nashville citizens and related accounts...run by your favorite local ex-Twitter engineer. :-) DM me for an invite or just sign up!
@NashSevereWx Now is a good time to get off this site and onto open alternatives like Mastodon. https://t.co/Humrsg54dj is a Nashville specific instance.
I've moved over from esq social (which was a great place!) to the https://t.co/NETJ0SUP2j community that @n8foo created, and so far I love the local experience. That was what I enjoyed about twitter anyway.

A local instance just made sense to me, which is why https://t.co/Humrsg54dj now exists. Now, how do we get @nashseverewx@freddieoconnell@NC5PhilWilliams to start posting over there? :-)
Back on the topic of Nashville, we had a great presence on Twitter and from what I saw, it was mostly positive and productive. We used it to hold folks accountable, ask questions, and to share fun things and be social.
@ThisIsNashville Other cities don’t operate this way. We are special. CM’s typically don’t have anything to do with zoning. It’s normally planning commission. And they can come up with a cohesive plan. In Nashville’s situation, it’s completely piecemeal with each CM/developer project.
