🚨 JUST IN: Sheridan Gorman's angel mom just dropped this raw truth nuke straight to Democrat members of Congress
"I don't understand why it's only the REPUBLICAN side that cares about our American children!"
"Basically what you just did, what you said was, 'I'm so sorry for your loss. I have a daughter too. I have a son. I feel your pain...'"
"You DON'T feel my pain. Because the next words out of your mouth were, 'BUT.'"
"There's no 'BUT' when your child is in a coffin!"
"And I need you to understand that. And if you ever want to talk about it, I'm here, I'm going to buy you a bench. I'm going to buy. You can put that on the record. I'm going to buy Congress the bench. And they can come and sit and hold my hand and look me in the eye and explain to me why illegal immigrants are more important than my daughter. I really want to know what because I don't understand!"
May PCA ministers, per the PCA CN report, dissent from the SCOTUS decision on "birthright citizenship"?
"We further deny that love for one’s own people or heritage justifies contempt for, exclusion of, or injustice toward others."
British forces launch a full assault on Fort Sullivan, South Carolina.
The position does not fall as quickly as they would have pleased; British cannon fire bounces off the Patriot Fort, which is constructed of palmetto logs.
The British bullets cut down the militia flag, and young Patriot Sergeant William Jasper races to the pole and raises it under withering fire.
Meanwhile, American fire does substantial damage to Royal Navy ships.
Although 2,200 British troops and nine ships attacked a fort with only 400 militia inside, just 12 Patriots are killed for the loss of 91 British and severe damage to their ships.
They do not take the Fort and they are compelled to retreat.
@crwiley1962 Only denominations in Western countries w/ indiscriminate immigration would think of condemning that. All the other nations in the world are ethnonationalistic. Naive, Western-bubble denominations are actually condemning all nations they would be sending missionaries to.
The #PCAGA had strong words against “performative masculinity” and took a strong stance against “divergent tones” in Reformed Christian Politics but did nothing to deal with the issue of Functional Female Officers in the PCA.
I’ll celebrate any ground the PCA makes. Just as a weaker PCA is bad for the Reformed world, a stronger PCA is good for the Reformed world. That is one of the big reasons I care about the state of the PCA.
I do think they had some victories, and that is a good thing. But I don’t think they made much ground in dealing with the current existence of functional (that’s a key word) female officers in the denomination.
Truth be told, the BCO is not the best way to deal with this. The Standards and BCO are for honest men. They are solid as is. What is needed are elders who will deal with this at the presbytery level by documenting, calling out, and discipling those who are subverting the PCA’s constitution through word games, if not outright rebellion.
Now, in some cases, sharpening the BCO here or there will help strengthen the grounds for pursuing erring elders. But no matter what, you have to have the will to discipline, first by confrontation and admonition, and to risk being called belligerent, tedious, an exaggerator of the problem, someone “not following the process” even when you are, not a churchman, and so on. You have to risk being labeled a troublemaker.
That is the real battle. It is not merely a battle of parliamentary procedure, though those things matter. It is a battle of the will to discipline. And it would only take a few brave souls to do so. Therein lies the great need.
May God bless the PCA and her officers with such willingness.
The purpose of much anti-CN discourse, which was evident in the Boring discussion yesterday, is to utilize theology to replicate people’s own deracinated state of existence—to transform us into nomadic, placeless beings committed to universal ideas and a universal culture dwelling in a universal market society. Theology (really the conflation of categories that confound nature/grace and civil/ecclesial) is a tool for modern liberal ideology.
Jon Harris pressed against this view. But the bloviation of nomads drown him out.
I have stress for years now that our confusion is found in the area of political prolegomena, mainly the relationship of theology and politics. If we get this wrong, then theology is wielded against natural goods to get liberalism.
Louisiana pastor beats up a man who allegedly threatened to r*pe and kill his wife and grandchildren.
Pastor Tony Spell of Life Tabernacle Church says he was working on a church bus when the neighbor's son started shouting at him.
Spell said that it is his job as the natural protector to protect his church and family.
"He said, 'Tony, I'm gonna r*pe your wife, I'm gonna r*pe all of your grandchildren,' and he said, 'The next time you go out of town, I'm gonna kill them, and what the F are you going to do about it?" Spell said.
The neighbors, the Sherwin family, claim Spell is not telling the truth, but during a press conference, Spell was backed by members of his church who say they've made multiple complaints about the Sherwin family to police.
Spell's attorney says the Sherwin family has "a large, industrial-scale camera that could see from across the street all the way into the pulpit."
Spell was hit with multiple misdemeanor summonses in 2020 during the COVID lockdowns when he refused to close his church.
"The Central City police are friends with these folks across the street. When Pastor Spell was being surveilled 24/7, it was with the help of the man across the street," Spell's lawyer said.
The pastor was reportedly arrested and booked for second-degree battery.
This is the Presbyterian position. Find another tradition if you disagree:
The sins of the 2nd commandment include "the making any representation of God, of all or of any of the 3 persons, either inwardly in our mind, or outwardly in any kind of image or likeness of any creature whatsoever."
@Ligonier Singleness is not a gift as marriage is a gift. The Bible NEVER says that.
Marriage is normal, perpetual singleness is not.
And any accidental benefits of single life do not even come close to inherent benefits of the state of marriage.
⚠️Warning: Today's video on PCA & @ZacharyGarris trial contains unwholesome speech. I am actually going to read aloud the words that got a minister suspended. I will only be quoting, of course. Please proceed as advised.

@TexasPreacher Our Westminster Standards are more specific about it than any other standards. It boggles my mind that men would subscribe to the most Sabbatarian standards while not believing or practicing.
It's pitiful when any Christian rejects the Christian Sabbath, but God forbid a Presbyterian does. The whole church up until yesterday were Sabbatarians, but that is especially so of Presbyterians. I mean, even Billy Sunday & Billy Graham were Sabbatarians!
I live in the Psalms. And so should you.
“Blessed be the LORD, my rock,
Who trains my hands for war,
And my fingers for battle;
My lovingkindness and my fortress,
My stronghold and my deliverer,
My shield and He in whom I take refuge”
Psalm 144
