Good Morning Uganda 🇺🇬
The State of the Nation Address is more than a speech, it is a reflection on Uganda’s journey and a roadmap for the future.
As President @KagutaMuseveni addresses the nation today at 2:00 PM in Kololo, Ugandans will gain insight into government performance, economic direction, service delivery, & national development priorities. #SONA2026
This Thursday on the 4th of June, 2026, President @KagutaMuseveni is set to deliver the State of the Nation Address at Kololo Independence Grounds starting at 2:00pm. Don’t miss out, mark your calendars. #SONA26#OpenGovUg
@like_a_gem The two as earlier stated are Congolese. These are cases(i.e infected, tested positive for Ebola) One is late(died in the Kibuli Hospital on 15th May 2026 as per the gov’t presser), the other is being treated in the Ebola Treatment Unit at Mulago
@NIRA_Ug@NIRA_ED Why is Namugongo Catholic Shrine office closing the National ID pick up at only 13.40hrs? The operations have already been scaled down to pick-ups on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays as it is, and after enduring the long queues, it is unfair to close before 5pm!
Fellow Ugandans, especially the Bazzukulu, greetings.
After consultations with the national epidemic response task force and religious leaders, we have decided to postpone the Martyrs' Day to a later date, which will be communicated.
This decision was made because Uganda receives thousands of pilgrims annually from Eastern Congo, which is currently experiencing an Ebola outbreak. To safeguard everyone's lives, it is essential that this important event be postponed.
I encourage those who had begun their journey to return home, continue observing the precautionary measures, report anyone who is sick, and encourage those who are ill to seek medical care.
We regret any inconvenience caused, but the protection of life must come first.
Signed:
Yoweri K. Museveni
PRESIDENT
Our colleagues on the opposite side forget that when it rains, we all get wet.
That’s the reality of problematic laws. Even those who were chanting “Aye” will be affected at some point.
The day of reckoning eventually comes!
Fellow Ugandans, especially the Bazzukulu. Habaari. Greetings to all of you.
Of recent, I have noticed a lot of orwaari (noise, kelele), regarding the Sovereignty Bill. Which Sovereignty Bill is the rwaari about? The one I initiated in the Cabinet or another one? The Bill will stop FDIs (Foreign Direct Investments), support for religious bodies from abroad, Remittances from Ugandans working abroad, etc., etc. Really!! That is not the Bill I initiated.
Below is clarification on what I initiated.
This morning at about 9am, I spoke to Hon Hellen Nakimuli (Kalangala Woman MP) regarding a meeting of Opposition MPs that we were planning for tomorrow, and she was coordinating it as Shadow Minister for Information.
At the time, she was literally driving herself to hospital for a surgery which she indicated was not major.
Unfortunately, she has not made it out of theatre. She has died during the procedure.
Kitalo nyo dala!
