@CraigJoseph Interesting that December to June is being used for admission and hospitalization numbers, prior to paxlovid being routinely available/used and while delta was still in the mix. Wonder how the comparison changes with only March-June data. Regardless, cool use of cosmos!
1/2 Congrats to Dr. Anita Hegde, awarded Physician of the Year for #NationalDoctorsDay2021! Well-deserved as she:
💥Spearheaded clinical and operational #COVID response at @Parkland
💥Led resident Covid rotation
💥Serves as Director of Quality and Safety
💥Leads M&M year👏🏻round👏🏻
Thankful for all the staff and all the community support this year more than ever. Glad to be a part of such a great organization! @Parkland#maskup https://t.co/4AV6gfqor2
Can’t wait to see the whole map turn dark purple over the coming months! You can add @Parkland to the list...we went live last week! Thanks to the IT teams that worked so hard on the transition #PatientExperience@EJOConnell13@UTSWNews@myopennotes
Tired of the election map?

Just watching some news when I hear a familiar name... Thank you @KatieGavinski for fighting #COVID! Wisconsin is lucky to have you! https://t.co/liZ4GypoNC @UTSWIMchief @DinoKazi @dhjutsw1

@Lanna_Little Although the data used for the guidance doesn’t define severe disease, here’s a random definition that means absolutely nothing... https://t.co/RQvrQ3wgGv
@Johnson4Dallas@CityOfDallas Thanks for the transparency! A much more significant capacity number to track is staffing. How many of those available icu beds are staffed icu beds? We’re running out of doctors (especially critical care), nurses, RTs, etc. well before we’re out of beds.
My comments @HoustonChron "The bigger issue is that there is no plan for the country," Hotez said. "The entire southern half of the country is in a health crisis. But the problem is that we're not getting any federal guidance or leadership".

How many physicians are graded using Press-Ganey? Time to redefine our measuring tool. Let’s continue the shift towards quality and high value care. Much more difficult to measure... how does your group measure quality and high value care?
Are you shocked? I'm not shocked. "Oh, the irony. The most satisfied patients not only died in greater numbers but racked up higher costs along the way." https://t.co/KLQHkTdHUz
Welcome to our 2 newest HM faculty who are AMAZING and will join us in this fight! @adsumarsono @MaryCHonMD We’re #InThisTogether@Parkland@UTSWInternalMed @Cowtownindo @Lanna_Little @JAndresSotoMD1 https://t.co/UETEly86FZ
NEW: @DCHHS reports 1,077 cases and 9 deaths. Today’s numbers include nine deaths, most of whom did not have underlying high-risk health conditions. We continue to see wide community spread and the need for more targeted actions to keep our community safe.
.@DCHHS reports 1,103 cases and 2 deaths. Today we reached 1,100 new cases for the first time. It took us 92 days to reach 300 cases, 22 days to reach the next 400 more cases at 700 cases and 2 days to reach another 400 cases at 1,100.
@ABCscholz Thanks for sharing the work we do at @Parkland and giving us an outlet to try and help our community. Texans, we especially need your help this weekend. #MaskUpTexas and save a life!
"I feel safer in there than I do anywhere else."
