If cooling is the biggest energy consumer in data centers and higher transistor packing increases requirements for cooling, why not make chips that may not be as performant, but require less cooling.
Essentially, is it possible to have similar performance with larger chips?#ai
After just 4 years at Google india, I think I have earned enough to retire. If people working in faang US for more than 4 years are scared of layoffs, then there is no saving you.
You are in that "hazaron khwahishen aisi" loop.
An Indian engineer at Meta gets the layoff email at 11pm Bangalore time.
His wife is on H-4. His kid is in 3rd grade in Seattle. His Bellevue apartment lease has 8 months left. His H-1B clock just started ticking β 60 days.
Meta's stock went up on the news. Zuck called it becoming more efficient.
This is what AI transformation actually looks like for 2 lakh Indians abroad.
Ai impact on Indians abroad is highest
@Kuvera_In@cred Buddy market waits for none. Your only USP was a clean interface otherwise many provide direct plans for MFs. I will most likely import to MFCentral now. Thanks for your service π
Using @ManusAI
To create content and share across seamlessly. Visualising the actions in terminal is a surreal experience. π https://t.co/CMwbAamGwG
To all the #vibe coders, the only product I pay for is @googlephotos once you have a replacement for it with the same guarantees, we can talk how AI is going to replace engineers.
@flabbytofit99 Your portrayal puts you in a position of power while your wife in a position where she needs to be rescued. My mother used to kick my ass herself, no dependency on father β€οΈ

Following @steipete again, I had gone out of iOS 7-8 years back and couldn't contribute to your tweets, so had unfollowed. Learned a lot back then, hoping to do that again. π
Back to building agents now π
Same experience with cursor. Trying to create an agent using adk from @Google. Create a good prompt using gemini, feed it to cursor, engines fire and after a couple of minutes, project ready. Try to run agent, but agent not found. Spent next couple of hours removing all the chaff
On Sunday, I used AI to build an app. In a couple of hours, it generated 23,000 lines of code with full documentation and 836 passing tests.
The code is amazing. The app is fully functional, well written, well structured, and has great test coverage.
At least that's what the agent told me after reviewing the project structure, completeness, and code quality.
So I fired it up and clicked the button. Nothing.
Turns out all tests passing and the agent grading its own work as brilliant doesn't mean it actually works. Now I'm debugging, filling gaps, and showing the agent what it missed.
AI can get you most of the way there, fast. But that last bit? That still needs a human who knows what they're doing. Let's not pretend otherwise.
But agent still not found. Give up and go to adk docs and create most basic agent myself. Then give cursor this implementation and ask it to fix itself. Couldn't, fixed myself. Now the repo is ~60 commits with ~4-5 files and almost everything verified by me.
So @_countrydelight called and closed the ticket saying they couldn't find a product that had this issue! Lol, support people not using their own app??
To make it easy it happens in every vegetable product and this needs to be a product problem, not a support problem.
Want kids to learn maths? Ask them to order on @_countrydelight prices for 225 gm quoted even when you are ordering an odd 900gm. Now multiply 6.96 with 4 to know what your cost will be. π
