The govt of AB produces a minimum wage profile report each year. Min wage workers represent 5.2% of the AB working population, 33% of the 5.2% are ages 15-19 and 66% of the 5.2% work part time.
It’s almost like one will need more than a part time min wage job to support those full time adult bills.

And seeing that AB taxpayers send billions more tax $$ to Ottawa then it receives back in services each year it’s safe to say that it’s AB taxpayers who pay for orphan well cleanup.

Because I have been in my current #YYC house a long time and keep records I can inform you that my property tax increases over the last 25 years are as follows:

City of Calgary Up 309%
Province Up 141%

At one time the provincial portion of the tax bill was much higher than the city portion, but that is no longer the case.

A one year or four year time frame doesn’t tell the real story.
