If a movie says 7:00, the movie should start at 7:00.
Trailers are one thing. Making people sit through 25 minutes of ads after the listed start time is ridiculous.
A woman has flown 1.2 million miles on Delta in the last 8 years.
She's a management consultant. 48 weeks a year on the road. 3–4 flights a week. She knows the airline system better than most gate agents.
She told me most passengers throw away between $200 and $800 per trip because they don't understand how airline pricing, seat selection, and rebooking actually work behind the counter.
"People treat flights like vending machines. You put money in, a ticket comes out, and you accept whatever you get. But airlines are running a dynamic negotiation 24/7 adjusting prices, opening seats, and issuing credits. They just built the app to make you think the first price you see is the only price that exists."
She said the gap between what a casual flyer pays and what a smart flyer pays on the exact same flight, same day, same destination is embarrassing.
"I've sat in first class next to someone who paid $1,400. I paid $180. Same flight. Same meal. Same landing time. The difference wasn't status. It was that I understood 10 things the airline doesn't explain to you."
Here are the 10 things she does before every flight that most travelers have never tried:

In Karnataka, Kumara Parvatha is the only place where LPG cylinders & provisions are carried like this for 5 km uphill.
Bhat brothers stayed there for more than 5 decades, serving meals to trekkers & providing stay for those who are exhausted.
Massive respect for them🫡
one thing I don't understand about America - fine there are several things - but why are dryers so good at drying laundry here?
in EU the function of a dryer is to take cold wet laundry & turn it into hot wet laundry, but in US it actually comes out ... dry? is it the freedom
The jewellery that Sita is wearing in the Ramayana trailer is deeply ahistorical for the time period when Valmiki's Ramayana was composed (during the second Urbanisation, post 5th c BCE). Finds of gold jewellery during this time is anyway rare, and this make is extremely contemporary. Gold becomes more common for elite jewellery starting from 1st c CE.
The Kundan choker she is wearing in the 2nd pic would've been largely unknown, though it did exist in India prior, Kundan jewellery was made popular by the Mughals.
Same for Rama, that filigree work bracelet he is wearing, that tech itself comes up in the 11th c in India.
The fact that you can’t check into a hotel until 4pm when the day is basically over but have to check out by 10am the next morning should honestly be illegal.
