UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy should know that Azerbaijan did not "liberate territory" when it pushed out some 100,000 indigenous Armenians from Nagorno-Karabakh.
Baku engaged in ethnic cleansing.

One year ago today, Azerbaijan launched its final assault against Nagorno-Karabakh. Over 100,000 Karabakh Armenians, having been blockaded and starved for nine months, were driven out of their homes. The criminal regime of Ilham Aliyev committed mass ethnic cleansing in Artsakh.
After more than a year of work on this, the story is finally out. It's perhaps the most important story that I ever made.
Thank you @ichbinilya for fantastic editing, and to @marutvanian for our long-standing teamwork.

Azerbaijan has enjoyed relative impunity for its violent conquest of Nagorno-Karabakh.
The world’s democracies must show there are consequences for such atrocities, lest they empower Eurasia's emerging autocratic order.

Fine, but then “children” under 25 also shouldn’t be able to marry, vote, enlist, consent to sex, work—in fact it’s probably safer to outlaw children altogether. Legalize cloning, and make sure to chain your clones up in the basement so they don’t get any notions.
“Every night, I dream of Artsakh.”
Last month, I traveled up and down Armenia to interview exiles from the ethnic cleansing of Nagorno-Karabakh.
This is the result: an 8,000-word account of the disappearance of a lifeworld, as told by six of its women. https://t.co/SIME0uwsvC
“And another reason why I’m explaining what happened to me in such detail: I want others who also lived through something like this … to speak up as well,” said Oleg, a 33-year-old cafe owner held captive for 17 days.

Armenia’s Ambassador To EU Warns Azerbaijan & Its Allies Want To Attack Armenia Ahead Of A Key Trilateral Meeting With The United States & European Union On April 5
This is so insane that I just.... the entire population of Artsakh has been ethnically cleansed. It is now a ghost town. But somehow it will participate in voting for the 30+ year-old family dictatorship of Azerbaijan. Yes yes, this is real.
“‘We won’t leave’: Armenians in Jerusalem push back against armed settlers.” A controversial real estate project threatens the world’s oldest Armenian diaspora community. But they refuse to move. https://t.co/SZURc4I2KY
Azerbaijanis are spreading videos from Stepanakert and saying that the city emptied of its inhabitants is very beautiful!.
Anyway, I still see Armenian letters there. All the same, you will not be able to love that city as much as I do.
13 y.o. Tigran left his home in #Karabakh twice: first time, in 2020 his family had to move to #Armenia for safety, and then two months ago, following the hostilities which escalated on 19 September.
