@PlanoDallasOne @MikeBara333 @TaraBull No. Airplanes fly very close to the Surface of earth, so rotation does not have a direct effect. Instead, we fly a Great Circle track (straight line on a globe), making adjustments to fly in the best winds/cheaper airspace, and close enough to alternates.

@sundstrom_lars @pookiepolls @EvaVlaar Afrikaans is much simpler. No conjugation of verbs, the removal of -en from verbs, double negatives, reduction in consonants in many words, and a phonetic spelling. Afrikaans does not have gendered words in the same way Dutch or German has.

@sundstrom_lars @pookiepolls @EvaVlaar No. The gentleman in the video is speaking Afrikaans. It's origin is Dutch, but influenced by many different languages. A Dutch person could understand most of Afrikaans, much like Spaniard can understand Portuguese, but some key differences to Dutch.
