This year, our prayers have an even deeper meaning.

May this sacred day bring peace and stability to our nation, to the Jewish people, and to the world.

May our brave men and women in uniform, along with our families in northern and southern Israel, be protected.

May the hostages be returned swiftly and safely to the embrace of their loved ones.

May we be sealed in the Book of Life, with hope and strength to carry us forward.

It’s officially October 7, 2024, here in Israel, but for us, it still feels like October 7, 2023.

One year ago, Hamas launched a horrific attack against Israel, killing over 1,400 Israeli citizens – including defenseless women, children, and the elderly – and kidnapping hundreds more. Today, the prospects of peace seem more distant than ever. But we continue to hope for a return of all the hostages, an end to the violence, a rejection of hate, and a future in which both Israelis and Palestinians can enjoy the security and stability that most of them yearn for.

IDF: During the night, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) entered Israel from the direction of the sea from the west, which we estimate was launched from Yemen, and hit a building in central Tel Aviv.

It appears that this is a Simad 3 UAV, which we estimate traveled from Yemen to Tel Aviv. The Simad 3 is an Iranian weapon system that has likely been upgraded to extend its flight range.

As a result of the impact, one civilian was killed, and eight civilians were lightly injured.

May the memory of the victim be a blessing and may the injured have a speedy recovery.

Noa Argamani (25), Almog Meir Jan (21), Andrey Kozlov (27), and Shlomi Ziv (40) were rescued in a special operation by the IDF, ISA and Israel Police from 2 separate locations in the heart of Nuseirat after being kidnapped by Hamas from the Nova music festival.

They are in good medical condition and have been transferred to the 'Sheba' Tel-HaShomer Medical Center for further medical examinations.

We will continue to make every effort to bring the hostages home.
