Quindar is moving toward its satellite constellation automation goals with the help of a $6M seed extension round and a strategic integration partnership with KSAT. @QuindarSpace@KSAT_Kongsberg

The industry is moving from closed, single-satellite systems to large, multi-vendor constellations across distributed networks.
Most complex systems weren’t built for that and it shows. They’re tightly coupled or force manufacturers to build unique, exquisite systems that fail to scale. That model doesn’t scale. We built @QuindarSpace for what comes next.
Quindar has been selected to support @USSpaceForce Space-Based Interceptor for Golden Dome of America.
Legacy systems were built for one satellite, one vendor, one network. Golden Dome changes that, requiring large, multi-vendor constellations operating across distributed systems.
That’s exactly what Quindar was built for.

@TaylorCSargent I only know of one company trying to disrupt ground control - for reasons like this. One of our country’s most prized assets will be relying on decades-old technology.
NEW: Kid gives a blunt answer after a CNN reporter asked him why he was excited about the Artemis II launch.
Reporter: "Why do you want to be here? Why do you love space? Why do you love being a part of history?"
Kid: "We're going back to the freakin' moon, that's why!"
Cost & schedule overrun is par for the course for satellite ground systems. The true costs is we will continue to rely on tech that became operational in 2007 (!!!). This is exactly why we started @QuindarSpace - where we can deploy modern gov ground systems in months not years.
I am super excited to share that @Starcloud_ has raised a $170M Series A at a $1.1bn valuation to fuel our development of data centers in space 🚀
The round comes after the successful deployment of our first satellite, Starcould-1, a few months ago, which had the first @NVIDIA H100 on board and was the first to train an LLM in space. The funds will be used to develop our third satellite, which aims to be cost-competitive with Earth-based data centers in terms of AI inference cost.
The round was led by @Benchmark and @EQT Ventures, and we are excited to welcome Benchmark GP, @Chetanp Puttagunta, to our board. We are also excited to welcome other new investors, including the world's largest infrastructure fund, @Macquarie Capital, @SevenSevenSix 7️⃣7️⃣6️⃣, Manhattan West, Adjacent, Carya, GSBackers, and Harpoon.
We are very grateful for the continued support of existing investors, including @NFX, @NebularVC, @YCombinator, @FUSE_VC, @Soma_Capital, 3Capital Partners, Wyld VC, Tiny VC, and Taurus Ventures.
Onwards!

Since day one, four years ago, our vision has been simple: satellites are flying servers in space, and @QuindarSpace builds the software to keep them running. Today, companies deploying thousands - soon millions - of satellites and space-based data centers are a real market.
A desperately needed acquisition reform is finally here. A typical SSC ground system takes 12 years to field - that can’t be the status quo. @QuindarSpace integrated a new satellite on-orbit in just 23 days. As @SecWar said today: “Speed and volume above all else.”
We’re moving from a slow, contractor-dominated system (marked by limited competition, vendor lock, and cost overruns) to an industrial base that drives speed, innovation, and investment—powered by America’s unmatched ability to scale quickly.
Thank you, Mr. President @POTUS, for this opportunity. It will be an honor to serve my country under your leadership. I am also very grateful to @SecDuffy, who skillfully oversees @NASA alongside his many other responsibilities.
The support from the space-loving community has been overwhelming. I am not sure how I earned the trust of so many, but I will do everything I can to live up to those expectations.
To the innovators building the orbital economy, to the scientists pursuing breakthrough discoveries and to dreamers across the world eager for a return to the Moon and the grand journey beyond--these are the most exciting times since the dawn of the space age-- and I truly believe the future we have all been waiting for will soon become reality.
And to the best and brightest at NASA, and to all the commercial and international partners, we have an extraordinary responsibility--but the clock is running. The journey is never easy, but it is time to inspire the world once again to achieve the near-impossible--to undertake and accomplish big, bold endeavors in space...and when we do, we will make life better here at home and challenge the next generation to go even further.
NASA will never be a caretaker of history--but will forever make history.
Godspeed, President Donald J. Trump, and Godspeed NASA, as America leads the greatest adventure in human history 🇺🇸
