Over the last few years, we've been combining CRISPR screens with multimodal readouts of gene expression (RNA) and chromatin accessibility (DNA). In this study, we bring those together within the same cells.
Excited to be presenting at my first #ASHG conference! Hop to session 11-“All the single cells” and learn about the interplay between genetic variants and cellular and molecular aging phenotypes! #ASHG2024
We’re recruiting for multiple positions in my lab in New York and Stockholm, at MSc and PhD levels. If you’re interested in pursuing creative systems genetics questions with tools/data like Developmental GTEx, CRISPR and single-cell, please read further / share. 1/
We're recruiting postdocs! Join our lab at
@scilifelab@KTHuniversity in Stockholm to work on functional genomics at the experimental and/or computational intersection of CRISPR/scRNA-seq/genetics approaches. Close links to our team at
@nygenome. 1/
Our latest preprint, @mukundkabbe's single-cell epigenomics (scATAC & Nano-Cut&Tag) of the adult human central nervous system, finding developmental epigenetic memory at HOX clusters in adult oligodendroglia! @karolinskainst https://t.co/TMtjSM6Bi5
Very happy to share our latest work from my postdoc with @tuuliel_lab on recalibrating gene expression changes relative to natural dosage variance: https://t.co/7t8JhzEAEA
The Morris Lab at the @DonnellyCentre for Cellular and Biomolecular Research and the University of Toronto is officially open for business, and the lab website is live! Check it out for info on our research and how you can join: https://t.co/IsQImxLbBF
We know the importance of subtle gene dosage variation, and yet the main tool of molbio is gene KO/KD. In our new preprint, @JuliaDiumenge introduced subtle modulations of transcription factor dosage by CRISPRi/a, and quantified responses by scRNA-seq. 1/

Excited to share our review paper in Cell! With @SashaGusevPosts@s_ramach@yang_i_li we discuss the genetic and molecular architecture of human traits, future opportunities and challenges and ways forward.

How did we lose our tail? A simple question.. but it wasn't really asked before! We discovered a plausible scenario for the genetic mechanism that led to tail loss. Amazing that such a big change may have been caused by such a small genetic event. https://t.co/0ZR8aH23PJ @BoXia7
We are hiring postdoctoral scholars for a very interesting project that involves both basic research on cancer evolution, and a chance to develop methods that will help shape the future of precision medicine!

Thrilled to announce our latest exploration of CRISPR! By developing an advanced algorithm, we’ve analyzed 8 terabases of microbial data, leading to the discovery of over 200 novel CRISPR systems. Kudos to @altaetran and @soumya_kannan12 for their exceptional work! Details in the thread below:
I've learned a lot about single-cell pooled CRISPR screens during my postdoc, so I wrote a review with Jenn Sun and @nevillesanjana in @TrendsGenetics! Check it out for a history lesson, summaries of current methods, and thoughts on where it's going: https://t.co/ZHkxBrbrMP
