Today @KLM, @Airbus and @CFM_engines celebrated the airline's first LEAP-powered A321neo, which offers dramatic reductions in noise, fuel consumption and carbon emissions.

Vandaag hebben we de eerste Airbus A321neo ontvangen op Schiphol. Een vernieuwingsslag die niet alleen een verbetering is voor onze passagiers en collega’s, maar ook voor onze omgeving. Dit vliegtuig is per passagierskilometer 21% zuiniger dan haar voorganger en ook aanmerkelijk stiller.

De A321neo is voorzien van bredere stoelen, grotere tafels en ruime bagagebakken. De nieuwe vliegtuigen dragen allemaal de naam van een vlinder. Het vlinderthema past bij de transformatie die wij doormaken met onze vliegtuigen. Dit jaar worden er nog drie andere A321neo’s toegevoegd aan onze vloot.

De komende jaren investeren we ruim zeven miljard euro in onze vloot. Zo blijven we stappen zetten om ons werk schoner, stiller en zuiniger te doen!
