Just now received a distress call from Train 12704. Divyang (disabled) coach is occupied by unauthorized non-disabled passengers, leaving disabled passengers with no place to sit.
This happens often, especially on night journeys

This is a common issue for disabled train passengers. We receive at least 2 calls every week—often late at night—from distressed disabled passengers reporting non-disabled people occupying disabled coaches and harassing them.
@RailwaySeva & rail helpline 139 are usually helpful
Yesterday, a couple entered disabled coach of Mumbai local & abused disabled passengers.
This isn’t isolated incident. #disabled face this harassment far 2 often, especially when non-disabled passengers occupy seats meant 4 them.

We regularly receives distress calls from disabled passengers mistreated by @UPSRTCHQ bus conductors.
They’re denied boarding if two disabled passengers are already on board.
Shockingly, UPSRTC helpline confirmed this discriminatory practice.

Last night we got a call from a distressed family whose car had broken down at Bundelkhand Expressway
We called 1033 and in a short time necessary help was provided to the immense relief of the family

Even herculean efforts r not enough 2 get 'Disability Certificate' (#UDID)
Disabled persons r forced 2 run pillar 2 post 4 no reason
Now @kgmu_medical refused 2 examine a #Disabled person referred by Medical Board, Shahjahanpur and also having clear directions of CMO, Lucknow
Majority of calls we receive are about ‘Disability Certification’ (UDID)
In one such case, Safdarjung Hospital, Delhi refused to issue certificate, citing:
“Since Clinical Psychologist is not available Certificate cannot be issued”
Bizarre!!!
