As far back as I can find…

There has never been another PA governor who made “historic investments” of the taxpayers money to improve their private residence.

As governor shapiro gears up his campaign with claims of “unprecedented” efforts to promote down ballot democrat candidates I encourage you to remember his unprecedented breach of public trust and basic principles of accountable government.

Improvements to his Abington home were quietly executed last summer without prior legislative approval or public disclosure.

Lawmakers only learned of the spending months later through a letter to leadership, prompting bipartisan questions and Republican led subpoenas for records.

***Yet, we’ve heard nothing more from our GOP representatives***

shapiro bypassed normal procurement rules in his $1 Million Dollar + major investment in his private residence, paid for by Pennsylvania taxpayers.

Treasurer Stacy Garrity rightly refused to release the funds. AG Dave Sunday overrode her decision to avoid lawsuits against the state….

But that does not erase the original sin: shapiro’s administration treated taxpayer funds as a personal security slush fund and only sought ethics guidance after work had begun.

It is not fair to taxpayers in either party to bury these facts - - ever - - but especially during campaign season when shapiro and his team are imploring voters to re-elect him.

There are many actions that we can point to in shapiro’s career that define his character and attitude of entitlement but none that have been followed up to a logical/legal conclusion.

It’s time now.

I’m encouraging a call-in campaign, next week, to your representatives in both parties and your senators.
Politely ask them to publicly update us on the status of the subpoenas and to keep this important issue in the forefront.
