@TRPage_dev It's insane... Same merchant few weeks apart... bullied us and another app. I even ended up refunding 12 months just for "good will" and then got ghosted and review stayed.
No one to talk to ... no tool to challenge it.
@patjakubik We got the same thing from another plus store. Same store bullied another popular app, with near identical review. Now she ghosts us despite getting 12 months refund...

@liam_at_shopify@harleyf In our case we "even" ended up refunding her the whole year, despite the whole thing being a sham, and now we are ghosted, and dropped in ranking as a result. Meanwhile "honest" reviews we have get "archived" and this sits as 1/3 top reviews...

Merchants abusing app partners for "refunds" claiming "they never used the app."
In our case, we got asked for 12 month refund. Tons of false info in the review as well. Same merchant..
This is an ongoing issue!
We also have a “plus” merchant who didn’t communicate, ignored both Shopify and our emails, and then came demanding a full year worth refund… then left 1 star review.
We decided to still refund, and they have ghosted us ever since.
A Shopify Plus merchant has happily used our app for 6 months. Then they ask for a discount in exchange for a review and a feature on our website. We don't usually do discounts, but I offer one if they switch to annual. They decline - and leave a 1-star review: "The app covers our needs, but at an unnecessarily high price". Doesn't feel right that they can sabotage us like that @liam_at_shopify ?

@malisauskasLT Now take any of those stores and go through them and see what other apps they let reviews on…. And there is only a fraction of the review network.
This whole thing is such a farce, and frankly Shopify doesn’t do much about it.

@kurtinc My friend built https://t.co/FnFfI8SwRZ which I think does a way better job because it creates hundreds of collection pages based on long tail keywords with faq and other content focused on getting ranked and cited.

@DsMatie Months. It’s about 5-6 weeks before you get assigned a reviewer. Then if they decide something isn’t right, they can ask you to fix it, but even worse, they can pause your app, have you fix and resubmit which puts you right back at the back of the queue.
So mistake can be 10wks
