@GameHistoryOrg@jtsknight92 I appreciate the game, but I still don’t find it particularly great. Sometimes all you need is a 7/10 (my old school style ranking), but in 1995/96, there was too much excitement in next-gen and even current gen titles for it to make much of an impression on me. Over and out! ✌️
@GameHistoryOrg@jtsknight92 used around 2002, I enjoyed it well enough and thought it was charming and quirky. I held onto it for a few years for bragging rights, but traded it for an Xbox 360 w controllers and games around 2010 🤷♂️ (one more reply I promise)
31 years ago, the Sega Saturn launched in the US along with Daytona USA. In case you’ve never seen this, here is Takenobu Mitsuyoshi, the voice behind the Daytona USA classic banger “Let’s Go Away”. Enjoy!

@SuperSisi The Modem didn’t launch because it didn’t have games or software to so support it that would appeal to a US audience among other market reasons— the Sega Channels wasn’t exactly a replacement for that. Arguably, the later-released X-BAND modem had more similarities.
@Wes_Rulz@NEOGEO_EN@DailySNKMusic Lol right? It isn’t emulation.
“Uncompromising gaming machine
Gameplay on the NEOGEO AES+ is not achieved through emulation - instead the console is powered by its legacy ASIC chips, re-engineered by modern standards to accurately replicate the original machine's hardware”
@SwimsuitHakufu@BillyNaing@NEOGEO_EN For context, I prefer the original NGCD controller with its clicky stick, I found the current usb version to be cheap feeling overall.
@toruzz This is super impressive even in raw POC!
So your layer would allow for code that says “take these hex values thats the HUD and apply these sprites and positioning,” and so on?
