@CoachSwit And it’s the reason the game gets worse and worse. It all falls on the customer. They would rather but the summer payment towards “showcases” and tournaments. That leaves little money for practice and development.
@jcostas27@JackLoder_ I agree it was a bad read. But even more reason not to send him! Don’t compound it with another dumb mistake. Two outs, I can live with the decision. One out and runner on 3rd and you send him? Once again getting exposed!
@LandryBurdine Love it. Have to hit the jackpot that the team has a knowable and team first attitude coach. I’m more respecting the families for sticking together and not jumping to the “greener side.” To sweeten the original tweet, please tell me any kid who did leave it didn’t work out?
@alixonmartinez2 The bigger issue is you grind as a counter to maybe get lucky and land a paid assistant gig for 35k a year. That’s the real issue with non basketball and football coaching staffs. Especially, when players now are making more than said coaches who recruited them.
@alixonmartinez2 Not arguing coaches shouldn’t be paid a min for basic living needs BUT you wanna know a crazy fact?every therapist in the country had to work 800 hours for free before they earn their license. Every teacher had to work one year for free until they earned the credential.
@benny_thejet_30@latsondheimer High school coaches need to find a new solution to 2nd grade math. Like every real coaching staff I know, have a list going into each and every game who what pitchers are available and how many innings left for the week.
@BradyDoorey Like all areas of life (being great at real estate, law, education, finance, sales, the trades, etc.) find the best and most respected coach you can. Compete like hell to earn their trust and have them mentor you. Be willing to coach it all/even if for free.
@EC_Preps_SD@chriscfore And then it’s even more pathetic when you have schools bragging they win state champions at the D3-D5 and find out their boosters are many coaching staffs six figures. Public schools too.
@JustGusPD The biggest changes needed:
1- Stop rewarding below average base D1’s with D3 games.
2- Stop punishing great seasons for base D4 and D5 programs with a 1st round D2 and D3 blowout loss.
3- The drop or rise of one division from your base would take care of this.
@CoachSwit Wearing suits on an airplane and watching at a baseball used to also be the norm as well. I wish baseball would go to the softball coach look. Athletic bottoms, team top, team hat.
@DarrenSabedra@JustGusPD@CIFNCS@nathancanilao@CB_Journalist Better yet! In the last 17 years, NCS has had a championship postponed due to darkness twice. Acalanes at San Marin and De La and Granada at Monte Visit. NCS can pay a commissioner 200k plus but can’t rent the Coliseum, Cal, Laney College, St. Mary’s, etc. for the kids and fans?
@JonKarcich@DarrenSabedra@CIFNCS@nathancanilao@CB_Journalist Because they are more clueless than the NCAA. And we all know that’s saying something. They will claim travel and school time. Most varsity teams are filled will players who get out by 1:30 each day. Start 4pm. This week is a dead in school anyway. AP exams done.
