Yesterday we welcomed an international delegation led by Kimberly Krautter from the United States, representing a consortium of investors interested in supporting further research and development of a herbal remedy discovered by Ugandan herbalist Mr. Ssenfuka David.

The delegation, which included visitors from the USA, Dubai, India, and officials from State House Uganda, visited NCRI to conduct due diligence and assess the institute’s earlier research on Mr. Ssenfuka’s herbal product.

As part of our commitment to experiential learning, our Cohort 5 Occupational Herbalists trainees visited Entebbe Botanical Gardens, exploring medicinal plants in the herbal section. A full day of hands-on learning, plant identification, & herbal knowledge exchange.
This hands-on experience deepened their understanding of plant identification, ethnobotanical uses, and the conservation of medicinal flora, an essential component in the development of traditional medicine in Uganda.
