I think I've figured it out.

I've been watching the US confirmation hearings and something very deep has shifted.

It's more than just the kinds of people being appointed, it's bigger than a 'vibe shift'... but I couldn't figure out what it was.

It's the revolution eating it's own.

Even Democrats are having their eyes opened as they watch their heros from the last few decades try to tear down the people who COULD have made the Democrats great again... People who SHOULD have been their next generation of Democratic heros.

RFK Jr and Tulsi Gabbard stand out as great examples, and long time Democrat power brokers like Bernie Sanders are trying every trick to destroy them, every weapon, all the things that USED to work, and it's blowing up in their faces.

The Revolutionary Old Guard are trying to eat their own children, and are being devoured by them instead.

These senate confirmation hearings are highlighting the fact that MAGA is actually a unity movement, with the best of the Republicans AND the best of the Democrats, taking the country forward together and leaving the decrepit old guard behind.

Here's why when I hear someone say they won't buy a Tesla because of Elon's politics or that FSD is a danger for everyone on the roads I just laugh bc I know they've been programmed. Look around, people:

• Toyota, Honda and Mazda submitted faulty data during pedestrian safety tests and were found to have falsified and manipulated safety data while applying for certification. They fabricated test results. Toyota separately has paid $1.2B to avoid criminal wire fraud charges after emails circulated that the company limited a recall despite knowing that additional cars were impacted and they hid the problem from NHTSA and the public

• VW famously promoted "Clean Diesel" for years while behind the scenes they were cheating on diesel-emissions tests. VW installed defeat devices - software that could detect when the vehicles were being tested, changing the performance to falsify test results. VW got caught and had to pay a $14.7B settlement. Mercedes and Stellantis were also found guilty of the same thing and years later, BMW is being investigated for using defeat devices

• For 13 years GM botched the handling of its defective ignition-switch debacle thanks to internal disfunction delaying or ignoring key safety problems. GM ended up paying a $900M penalty and was forced to set up an "independent monitor" to review the company's safety policies. Separately, GM is currently being sued for collecting data from its customers and selling that info to insurers without consent

• Ford devised a scheme to avoid higher duties by misclassifying cargo vans. For four years, Ford imported Transit vans from Turkey into the US and presented them to Border Protection with fake rear seats and other temporary features to make them appear to be passenger vehicles to avoid tariffs. They settled for $365M

The truth is this: Tesla is one of if not the only auto company that actually cares about doing the right thing and making the safest vehicles on the road. Tesla is doing everything in its power to solve for FSD to save lives. Tesla's entire mission is to transition the world to sustainable energy so we can all breathe cleaner air and future generations will be set up for success and will have access to incredibly low energy prices

You choosing not to support Tesla because Elon has different political views than you is a ridiculous decision when you actually understand the landscape of the other companies you will ultimately support instead $TSLA
