You know fundraising is going really great when they give you percentages comparing to another date and not, say, dollar amounts.
Just like you know polls aren’t cooking the books when they just straight up don’t give you any cross tabs. https://t.co/K2YZ0Yoxfr
@bdquinn Dem recruitment wasn’t bad. Mills or Kleban launch before Platner and this wouldn’t be happening. Timing was bad and that’s Schumer’s problem. He also should not have kneecapped Mills by endorsing her on her launch day.
Platner is the de facto nominee because he was polling so strongly against our Governor. Now his own internal poll only shows him up by 4 over Collins. A coronation for a candidate who is proving to be a fraud. Best bet is still to vote for #MillsforMaine
Telling that they're using PPP (not their main pollster; best used to generate quick headlines), and the survey shows him already losing ground (only up 49-45%).
@AnthonyMEmerson Yes. I know we are on opposing sides in this race, but my takeaway his lead is shrinking. Not a great memo from him re: fundraising either…no hard numbers.
@AnthonyMEmerson I think they have to appear publicly supportive or leftists will sit it out. I would bet they told him they will expect him to drop out if something worse comes out or he will receive zero financial support.
@MichaelLaRosaDC Yes and also shows Platner stans don’t understand why sexting scandal is breaking through. It’s the totality of everything and this reveals he’s a liar even to his wife who he claims to be all about….also shows he hasn’t actually changed (duh).
HERE’S what they should care about: he won’t clarify his 100% disability pension while working as a “blue collar oyster farmer.” Or why he takes no salary from his oyster firm — which could violate the disability rules — but his wife does.
