I’ve came in this morning and this card caught my eye. This class, my very first S1 are about to head into S4 at the change of timetable. It’s crazy to think this group of little covid S1s are now S4. They helped shape who I am as a teacher and I know they will do incredible 💛
The 2nd round is done and unfortunately Lornshill won’t be going any further but I honestly couldn’t be any prouder of my team and how they carried themselves. Tonight might feel disappointing however you’ve had an amazing experience and met this lot. #donalddewar
@shs_dram rendition of “Cinderella” 👗👠 I can honestly say it was amazing and I was blown away by the whole thing. The girls also loved it and Grace has declared that “panto is the best in the world” in between shouting “he’s behind you!” 🤦🏻♀️ You were all incredible 🤍
With those cold dark winter nights coming in Elmo has come home from a long week at school and decided to have a nice bubble bath and blow dry before bed. 🐘🛁 @BowhouseP2S #noelmosgotwet
@MrsBPsychology @MrTs_NQTs I was placed 1.5hrs away and had 3 kids, 2 of them under 3. I also have Crohn’s disease which the Uni were aware of however I was told as it was within the travel distance agreed then that was my placement. It wasn’t always easy but you get on with it and it was worth it
@DiLeed@melissacreate15@MrsKirstBarrett@EALDominicB @EAL_naldic @BellFoundation Please don’t take what I said wrongly, I am well aware that the students I am working with are incredible. At no point was I trying to infer that there was a ‘deficit’ with the child, the thing I found lacking was my ability to include students
I need to be able to include students in my class with very limited English. I’m not trained as an EAL teacher so don’t feel confident when selecting materials. I’ve looked for training opportunities but they come at a high cost. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
@sarah_doyley There is however it could be a while before they are able to help me, I believe the demand on their time is high. I’m looking for things which I can take responsibility for and do to make my subject and lessons as accessible as possible
