Ward of Payyan!

Throughout the first half, I kept on hoping that the movie would get better. In the second half, I was relieved that the movie was gonna end soon. I don't think that my hopes for a good crime thriller in Malayalam are gonna come true anytime soon. Sigh! 2/2 #AnandSreebala

The mother trope and the psychology trope were absolutely unnecessary. Actors were terrible. Arjun Asokan and Shaiju were disappointing. Aju Varghese tried hard and somehow was a bit promising except for his dialogues. 1/2 #AnandSreebala

At a time when the film industry is dominated by grandiose, larger-than-life productions, gems like this remind us why Malayalam cinema continues to surprise and captivate audiences with its simplicity and depth. 3/3 #IamKathalan

"I Am Kathalan" is a perfect example of what happens when a skilled director joins forces with a talented writer to deliver a simple story in an absolutely brilliant way. 1/3

The ethical dilemma surrounding the protagonist lingers subtly, even though d final monologue attempts to spell it out explicitly. Yet, the film shines in every aspect –from the outstanding performances by the entire cast, including the supporting actors, to its spot-on humor.2/3

@avvaishanmugii In my place (northern Malabar) it is called Kaja. But in many places it is 'Madakku', literally meaning folded.
