Prime Minister @AbiyAhmedAli has been appointed as the African Union Champion for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Health by the African Union. The announcement recognises his leadership and Ethiopia’s growing role in advancing artificial intelligence and innovation across the continent.

The appointment letter noted: “Your Excellency’s leadership in promoting digital transformation and emerging technologies has helped position artificial intelligence as a key tool for sovereignty, efficiency, and inclusive growth in Africa. Your continued advocacy for strategic autonomy and technological empowerment will be instrumental in positioning the continent as a global leader in responsible and equitable AI adoption.”

Ethiopia’s progress in digitization and artificial intelligence launched and accelerated significantly under the Prime Minister’s active engagement over the last few years. Initiatives such as the expansion of digital infrastructure, the rollout of e-government services, investments in innovation ecosystems, and the establishment of an AI institute and development of a national AI strategy have laid a strong foundation for transformation. In addition, plans to establish a dedicated AI university are expected to strengthen research, talent development, and continental collaboration in emerging technologies.

ከ60 ዓመታት ጥረት በውሃላ ኢትዮጵያ በምድሯ የሚገኘውን የብረት ማዕድን አውጥታ ወደ ምርት ልትቀይር ነው !

ይህን ከፍተኛ ጥራት ያለው የብረት ማዕድን (Iron Ore) ለማውጣትና ወደ ምርት ለመቀየር የኢትዮጵያ መንግስትና የቻይናው ZYTB DIM Metal and mineral Manufacturing በጋራ የሚገነቡት ሲሆን ፣ በቀጣይ 18 ወራት 2.5 ሚሊየን ቶን ብረት በማውጣት የሚጀምር ሲሆን በሙሉ አቅሙ ወደ ስራ ሲገባ 11ሚሊየን ቶን ያለቀለት ብረት በማምረት በአፍሪካ ግዙፉ ኢንደስቲሪ ይሆናል ተብሎ ይጠበቃል ። በዚህም መሰረት ኢትዮጵያ የብረት አፈር ከማውጣት ባለፈ ወደ የብረት ምርትነት በመቀየር በዓመት ወደ 11ሚሊየን ቶን በማምረት ከአፍሪካ ቀዳሚ ትሆናች ማለት ነው።

ይህ የብረት ማዕድን ወጥቶ ወደ ምርት ሲገባ ኢትዮጵያን ከተለያዩ ማሽነሪዎች እስከ መከላከያ ኢንደስቲሪ ውስብስብ ምርቶች የምታመርት የአፍሪካ የኢንደስትሪ ሀብ ያረጋታል ተብሎ ይጠበቃል ። ይህን የብረት ማዕድን ለማውጣት ኢትዮጵያ ከአፄ ሐይለስላሴ ጀምሮ ለ60ዓመታት ብዙ የጣረች ቢሆንም በመጨረሻም እንደ ኦጋዴኑ ነዳጅ ሁሉ እውን ሊሆን ተቃርቧል ።

በትናንትናው እለት የማዕድን ሚኒስቴር ይህን ፕሮጀክት ጨምሮ በ 4.2 ቢሊየን ዶላር የኢትዮጵያ መጪ ግዜ ሚቀይሩ የፖታሽና የወርቅ ማዕድን ማውጫ ፕሮጀክቶችን ማስጀመሪያ ፊርማ አኑሯል ።
