#CLOSURE | We can confirm emergency services are today, Tuesday 11 August, dealing with a serious road traffic collision inside the Queensway Tunnel.

We were contacted at just before 1.05pm following reports of a one vehicle collision involving an off-road bike on the Birkenhead to Liverpool carriageway.

The tunnel is currently closed as the incident is being dealt with.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and find alternative routes.

Updates will be issued when available.
