@MarkAnthony813@CNN@USNavy Wtf you talking bout? The Navy only sent dredging assessment experts, with the actual work being done by a Dutch salvage company.
@jonsteingard If you're interested in a deeper study of the bible, may I suggest reading the gospels that were kept out of the Bible. Most interesting example is the Gospel of Judas, which says Judas was really a good guy given a secret mission by Jesus personally, thus he did what he did.
@JackLinFLL@NASAEarth@NASA You're average joe may not be aware of it, but people in the electrical industry and astronomical society are very aware about it. Yes we should put more money towards upgrading our electrical infrastructure to make it more resilient, but there isn't large ignorance on this issue
@JackLinFLL@NASAEarth@NASA There are things we can do now for any solar flare. Immediate-term would be to shut off the power grids before a storm; long-term would be to make our girds smarter and more resilient. We've also gotten better at predicting them.
@wyldcdn@NBCNews Happens with oil all the time. Some refinery has a problem and pump prices go up instantly even though the effects of the problem wont be felt until months later.
@Bryan7Martinez@nytimes You get automatic appeal when you get the death penalty, and appeals courts are very slow. Its one of the reasons its often more expensive than life in prison.
@BobbyBallardYes @BernieSanders Or make them actually do the damn filibuster. It used to be to filibuster, you actually had to keep talking endlessly, but now all they do is threaten it and that is then accepted.
@mosaicthinking @RBReich I knew a Trump supporter in Australia. Dude acted like he was in the US and the stuff was affecting him directly. Its one thing to read news from other countries, but its an entirely different thing to revolve your whole being around it. Really bizarre to say the least.
@TheRealHoarse@Editor_of_Eric Delaware is a good option. More chickens that people there. And he can go to the lower part where he can take it easy, as its called Lower Slower Delaware (LSD for short, the people down there have it on their bumper stickers, talk about self-aware).
@BkwHookem@NBCNews If you want to use the NYTimes as a source, how about linking the original article instead of some article that quotes (probably way out of context) another one.
@ChristopherCafe@NBCNews The Supreme Court has been arbitrary about a lot of things. We need term limits on them, so we don't get outdated justices stuck there for decades.
@bitzymeow4@mmpadellan Problem is a lot of people would rather be lied to if they agree with the message than to have the cold hard truth. Being louder won't help in that respect. Too many people are too far gone, they won't listen no matter what you do.
