The first string galvanometer based ECG invented by Einthoven occupied almost an entire room, weighed 600 pounds and the patient had to sit with leg and hands dipped in salt water. The recordings were imperfect and needed corrections by applying math formulae! Now we have wearables!

An AIIMS intern deliberately skipped questions in the May 2015 PG exam so he wouldn’t get AIR 1 too early… then came back 6 months later and took AIR 1 properly.

Medical entrance exam stories can't be more crazier than this.

But, I want you to look at AIR 3

That person was actually an AIIMS intern - 5 months into internship.

He hid His college and actually didn’t attempt 15-20 MCQs to ensure he doesn’t end up getting AIR 1.

And 6 months later - when actually he was eligible - he did get AIR 1.

FMGE results declared- only 12.38% have passed. Hope our Central Ministry of health looks into this. Pass percentage needs to be much, much higher.
I had the opportunity of working with FMGE CRRIs, when I was posted at Thiruvallur Medical College,& all of them were excellent in knowledge, efficiency and dedication to pts.
FMGE Drs are our children too. Failing them, year after year consistently is extremely cruel. Hope the NMC, & the Central Health Ministry look into this matter with the urgency & importance it deserves. Futures r at stake.

Spent Doctor's Day exactly where I wanted to be-inside the ER.

- 1 supracondylar fracture of the humerus
- 1 ovarian cyst with bulky uterus
- Hiccups under evaluation
- 4 assault cases

non medico staff tried to organise a doctors day celebration today but no doctors ended up going cus no one was willing to leave opds, wards & OTs during work hours.
I think that says a lot about what this profession is about.

- Double moiety left kidney with double ureter
- 6 RTA
- Brain hematoma
- Left nasal dorsum laceration
- Patient with giddiness → irregularly irregular pulse
