Legacy media executives feign bewilderment over their cratering credibility, yet the historical record tells an undeniable story. The collapse of public trust was earned through calculated psychological operations, doctored footage, and deliberate institutional fraud. They demanded you ignore your own eyes, surrender basic common sense, and treat blatant partisan propaganda as sacred scripture.

1. The "Fiery But Mostly Peaceful" Spectacle (CNN, 2020)

Ali Velshi stood in front of towering infernos consuming Kenosha storefronts while the lower-third graphic insisted the scene was "mostly peaceful." The broadcast demanded viewers distrust their own eyes to protect the regime's preferred civil unrest.

2. The Covington Catholic Character Assassination (2019)

Legacy networks selectively sliced footage of teenager Nick Sandmann standing motionless while an activist banged a drum inches from his face. The media branded a quiet high schooler as the face of white supremacy, triggering multi-million dollar defamation settlements once uncut footage destroyed the script.

3. The Jussie Smollett Hate Crime Fable (2019)

Anchors uncritically broadcast an absurd fairy tale featuring sub-zero Chicago temperatures, roving assailants carrying bleach, and an intact noose. Newsrooms substituted basic police reporting with cheap racial melodrama, crowning a mediocre actor a martyr before Chicago police dismantled the fraud.

4. The Hunter Biden Laptop Suppression (2020)

Fifty-one retired intelligence operatives signed a letter laundering genuine domestic corruption as foreign influence. Corporate networks obediently censored the report right before a presidential election, only verifying the laptop years later when political consequences had expired.

5. The Charlottesville "Very Fine People" Deception (2017)

Cable news ran a heavily edited nine-second soundbite to convince the public that a sitting president endorsed white supremacists. They buried the explicit sentence spoken moments later condemning neo-Nazis entirely. Networks weaponized this lie for seven consecutive years.

6. The Border Patrol "Whips" Fabrication (2021)

Anchors and politicians accused mounted border agents of using whips against Haitian migrants along the Rio Grande. Even after the civilian photographer publicly testified that agents used split reins to control horses, the media kept the smear alive to paralyze sovereign enforcement.

7. The Automotive "Bloodbath" Panic (2024)

Commentators clipped a speech analyzing Chinese auto tariffs and manufactured a panic about nationwide political slaughter. Outlets coordinated identical headlines across digital platforms, deliberately deceiving voters to produce cheap campaign fear.

Cable hosts spent years reading unverified opposition research funded by political opponents as sacred scripture. Pundits guaranteed imminent treason indictments on prime-time television, harvesting viewer paranoia to fuel a multi-million-dollar ratings racket built on zero evidence.

9. The "Hands Up, Don't Shoot" Myth (2014)

Pundits raised their hands on air to validate an execution narrative that never happened in Ferguson. The federal Justice Department ultimately demolished the story using forensic ballistics, yet networks permanently embedded the fabrication into modern cultural folklore.

10. The Wuhan Lab Leak "Racist Conspiracy" Blackout (2020)

Legacy reporters branded the virology laboratory hypothesis a xenophobic delusion to protect international bureaucracies and federal research grants. Once evidence made the scenario undeniable, the press pivoted without acknowledging their coordinated suppression of scientific inquiry.

These ten hoaxes barely scratch the surface of a decades-long catalog of engineered deception. X has character limits, and modern server infrastructure has physical constraints. Documenting every single fabrication produced by the left-wing press would literally require paving the entire surface of the moon with data centers. The legacy cartel traded its credibility for partisan propaganda, and the American public permanently revoked its trust. The monopoly is broken, the curtain is down, and their authority will never return.

Ten million people have watched a Stanford lecturer accidentally destroy the entire public speaking coaching industry.

He filmed the lecture once in October 2014 and it has been on YouTube ever since.

Speaking coaches charge two thousand dollars a session to teach a third of what he covered in one hour for free.

His name is Matt Abrahams. He is a lecturer at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and the coach who has trained thousands of Silicon Valley founders on how to answer questions live.

Every year at Stanford's Alumni Weekend, he gives the same lecture called "Think Fast, Talk Smart."

His entire framework fits on a napkin.

Anxiety is not a bug. Greet it. Do not perform. Have a conversation. Never open with an apology. Use What, So What, Now What when your brain freezes. Problem, Solution, Benefit for a pitch. Never end with "any questions?"

That last rule alone has probably cost the pitch coaching industry a hundred million dollars.

"Ninety percent of the words that will decide your career are not written down in advance."

That is the actual opening line of the lecture. Abrahams built the entire Stanford elective on the sentence.

Founders spend $50,000 on pitch coaches and freeze the moment the investor asks a follow-up question. Engineers walk into performance reviews having rehearsed every accomplishment and blank on the one behavioral question that decides the promotion.

The lecture is free on Stanford's YouTube channel. Abrahams's book "Think Faster, Talk Smarter" is under twenty dollars.

Abrahams still teaches at Stanford. Almost none of the ten million viewers have used the three-step frame when put on the spot.

The frame is free. The willingness to actually use it the next time someone puts you on the spot is the entire edge.

For a decade, one small ideological network has been taking over AI governance. Chances are, if you've heard of AI policy, AI ethics, AI safety - these groups are dominated by this ideology. This ideology is called: Effective Altruism.

Three weeks ago, Effective Altruists (EAs) showed their hand when they started calling for a moratarium on AI development. Since them, I've been building out this map to show the circularity of their ideology.

Let's take one example.

Holden Karnofsky. Defends the moral worth of digital people ... that's right, he wrote an article on why AI "people" should be assigned value as if they were living humans. Karnofsky co-founded two major EA philanthropies, GiveWell and Open Philanthropy. Subsequently went to work for METR, a central "independent" AI research nonprofit. And for good measure - recently announced a leave of absence to work on AI safety. Funding, policy, research, safety all in the same person.

And he's far from the only one. EAs have created a closed-circuit network because they believe they're right; ergo, they should be in charge. The goal of launching this project was to expose all this circularity. Sam Bankman-Fried was only the beginning.

Jacob Coxon, a relatively unknown AI researcher, gives the WSJ an exclusive story about his resignation from Anthropic and his concerns about AI

Twenty minutes after the WSJ story drops, Jacob posts on X about how he's concerned that AI could kill us all in a few years. This post now has over 149M views. For reference, Ilya Sutskever (a very well known AI name) left OpenAI in 2024 and his announcement post has fewer than 6M views as of today

Bear in mind, Jacob Coxon's X account had no prior posting activity public, but it is immediately reposted and boosted by numerous AI-doomer policy advocacy nonprofits funded by the same donor (Jaan Tallinn) who just happens to be one of the leading investors in Anthropic

We find out Jacob Coxon, who worked at Anthropic for only a few weeks, worked for a left-wing political advocacy group in 2021 (Newspeak). This organization is a British NGO with ties to hacking democracy, Hillary Clinton, prison abolition and extinction rebellion

Many major Democrat politicians are now using Jacob's X post to fear monger the public into voting to regulate AI. It just so happens Bernie Sanders has a bill already written to ban artificial superintelligence (ASI) and to create a new federal agency to protect the public from the dangers of AI. This bill was announced just one week ago on September 3rd

It would also place a temporary pause on "advanced AI" until a new federal regulator exists and has issued safety rules and a model-review process

Elon then points out how none of this feels organic, and Jacob decides to take a shot at him for firing some xAI researchers

Meanwhile, we know Anthropic has publicly asked the government to audit and block frontier models and Anthropic has run a state-by-state campaign for rules that only large AI labs trigger, meaning the rules are structured around barriers only frontier labs can easily clear (limiting competition)

There is extensive Anthropic personnel and financial overlap with the groups that wrote the Biden-era AI policies. It is well known information you can seek out if you want the detail

This all seemingly comes back to regulatory capture and political motives. None of this feels natural. Jacob can say these are his real views all he wants, and they may be, but there is clearly far more to the story
