Today New Hope FF’s were dispatched to an outside fire on Graham Rd. E50 arrived to find approx. 1 acre of woods & a field on fire. The fire was brought under control with the assistance of @UnionRoadVFD, Cramerton FD, Bethel FD, & @ncforestservice . #NHfire #NCfire

Effective at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, the N.C. Forest Service has lifted a ban on all open burning outside of the 100-foot area around an occupied dwelling for 30 Western North Carolina counties. Read news release: https://t.co/sa6lpBb5k1

Due to hazardous forest fire conditions, effective 17:00 today, a burning ban will be issued by the @NCAgriculture. This burning ban covers 14 counties, which includes Gaston County, & is effective until further notice. This ban cancels all existing burning permits. #NHfire

~House Fire~ 5100 blk of Wilkinson Blvd. New Hope, Cramerton, Union Road, & Lowell FD’s were dispatched to smoke coming from a residence. PD units arrived & confirmed a working fire & alerted the occupants. Crews worked to quickly extinguish the fire.#NHfire #smokedetectors
