@blackmumsmatter is supporting Black mums so they can #thrive. The campaign is recruiting 200 Black mums and mums-to-be who'll receive free, expert support with @peppy_health & help reduce maternal mortality rates for Black mums and their babies https://t.co/3avIcH8Wxr
We are still here and still recruiting! Any mum who is living in the UK with a baby under 12 months is invited to participate, but we are especially keen to hear from people who have become pregnant and given birth during the pandemic. Link to participate: https://t.co/wUb6NvWviF

Our survey showed many mothers faced prenatal care & labour alone during lockdown. Yet despite a change in ruling, this is still happening. The important @butnotmaternity campaign seeks to put an end to these unfair restrictions #butnotmaternity

An important review by @JoAllotey@thangaratinam et al. has found that pregnant & recently pregnant women in hospital with Covid-19 were less symptomatic but + likely to need the ICU & invasive ventilation & have preterm births than those without Covid-19 https://t.co/RDTclDkwKq
Key points from our #COVID19NewMumStudy on maternal mental health & coping. A large proportion of new mothers reported symptoms of low mood, anxiety and loneliness during the lockdown. Latest @bestbeginnings #BabiesInLockdown report has also shown this. Urgent action is needed!

@kread85 We very much agree, we would have liked to include more questions on this (and many other things!) but this would have made the survey too long. Thank you for taking an interest in our study!
Some of the highlights from our study (pre-print results): The most common reasons given for the change in birth plans were having to give birth in hospital rather than a midwife-led unit and being allowed one birth partner only. 1/5 #COVID19NewMumStudy
