Guys, I'm gonna shutter this account in a few days as part of a broader effort to attenuate my social media usage. Not gonna delete it in case it comes in handy down the line, but I won't be checking it anymore in the new year.
If you're one of the few people I know solely on Twitter and you'd like to keep in touch, Facebook is probably the best bet. Just as toxic a platform obviously, but a more necessary evil for musicians.

This year has been appalling on almost every score, but at least we got to watch ethnonationalist boot-lickers deny themselves access to both Star Wars AND the NFL
@mcwm I haven't seen the movie yet (and correspondingly haven't yet read your full review) but this seems like a weird complaint to make about a franchise that has been merchandised into oblivion for our entire lives
@BloodAndSpirit Back in college, I used to do homework (including academic writing) on the Chinatown bus from Philly to NYC for Pyrrhon practice. No idea how I managed it in retrospect.
@KapustaDiamond @ronjosenthal @JAndrewZlcky Yeah I find that the ambient music in public spaces grates on me 9 times out of 10, on top of all the other distracting parts of being in public space. I love my local coffee shop but they're blasting Mariah Carey in there half the time
@ronjosenthal I just find having other people around at all is more distracting than not. Baristas are always getting bored in quiet shops and trying to chat
@JAndrewZlcky @ronjosenthal I generally prefer either music or silence to noisy backgrounds for working. But at home, I have my pick of these options, whereas the sonics are imposed on you if you're out of the house
