You may not know this, but Pokémon just celebrated 30 years of the card game.

85 billion cards printed. 18,000+ different English ones.

About 1,025 actual Pokémon. And the anniversary set puts 30 Pikachus in a single pack line.

Then they dropped the rest of it: every card foil, reprints of the old hits, a new flashy rarity, and months of boxes, tins, and giant collections still to come. Not a birthday pack. A whole season of cardboard, built for people who already own too much of it.

Collecting is more than watches, trading cards and things that require white gloves.

Sometimes it’s a Van Gogh fridge magnet.
Sometimes it’s ice cream.
