This 100x. It seems to be a very attractive local minima that both experienced devs as well as newbies fall into. Brilliant engineers I’ve known for a decade are checking in PRs with laughably absurd mistakes that I find instantly by simply stepping through new code when I pull 😆

Step through at least the top level code in a debugger once before you commit folks. It’s very illuminating and terrifying
